OpenUtilitiesAdministration Tools

The OpenUtilitiesAdministration Tools utility is used to create ‘groups’ and to assign individual users to ‘Groups’. Open this utility by double clicking the OpenUtilitiesAdministration Tools.msc file found in the root directory of OpenCommsDesigner:

C:\Program Files\Bentley\Communications 2023\OpenCommsDesigner\OpenUtilitiesAdministration Tools.msc

For a user to be authorized to place/edit within a boundary, that user must belong to one of the ‘groups’ authorized to place these boundaries.

Note: Bentley recommends that a single blank workspace be used for placing and editing the boundaries. This workspace should only contain the Advisory Boundaries and no other feature types.

Note: Before exiting the workspace file, any changes to an Advisory Boundary must be posted using the Post Features command. If an unposted boundary is found in the design file while exiting, the user will be prompted to post the changes. If the user elects to not post the features, they will be removed from the design file.
